• <br /> '1 ORDINANCE NO. 8/-/- 8% <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE requiring a permit to connect to a public sewer and <br /> 3 establishing time for payment of sewer connection fees and permit <br /> fees prior to obtaining said permit and amending Section 6, <br /> 4 Ordinance No. 3471 (EMC 14.08.060). <br /> 5 <br /> 6 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 7 Section 1: Section 6 of Ordinance No. 3471 (EMC 14.08.060) which reads as <br /> 8 follows: <br /> 9 <br /> "No person shall connect with or open or penetrate any public sewer, or any <br /> 10 private sewer which connects to a public sewer or any side sewer or drain <br /> for any purpose whatsoever, or lay, alter, extend or repair any sewer, <br /> 11 public or private, which connects to a public sewer, lateral, side sewer or • <br /> drain without first obtaining a license from the city so to do. <br /> 12 EXCEPTION: A bona fide owner of any building, structure, lot or parcel <br /> of real property, doing his own work, and for which a permit has been <br /> 13 issued may extend, alter, repair or lay any lateral, side sewer or drain <br /> within his own property without obtaining a license and/or bond so to do, <br /> 14 provided all work shall be done in accordance with the provisions of this <br /> chapter." <br /> 15 <br /> 16 is hereby amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 17 <br /> "No person shall connect with or open or penetrate any public sewer, or any <br /> 18 private sewer which connects to a public sewer or any side sewer or drain <br /> for any purpose whatsoever, or lay, alter, extend or repair any sewer, <br /> 19 public or private, which connects to a public sewer, lateral, side sewer or <br /> drain without first obtaining a permit from the city so to do.
