These <br /> comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2015 International <br /> Building Code,) (2015 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and/or Washington State Energy Code 2015 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless <br /> stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide minimum 1/2"GWB on common wall of garage and residence. GWB shall extend to <br /> the underside of the roof sheathing or the ceiling of the garage shall be finished with <br /> minimum 1/2"GWB. Show on plans. <br /> 2. The plans show two doors inside the garage. Where do these doors go? Door(s) from a <br /> garage into living space are required to meet the requirements of section R302.6 and Table <br /> R302.6 IRC. <br /> 3. Specify moisture barrier on exterior walls. <br /> 4. Specify pressure treated wood where framing members are in contact with concrete. <br /> 5. Provide minimum 36inch landing not more than 1-3/4" below the finished floor at the <br /> exterior entrance/exit. If landing is concrete, provide #4 rebar dowelled into existing <br /> concrete at not more than 18"on center. Show on plans. <br /> 6. Identify the use of the space in the existing dwelling at the window shown opening into the <br /> garage. Show the size and use of the room containing this window on the proposed floor <br /> plan. <br /> • <br /> R302.5 Dwelling-garage opening and penetration protection.
