R <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 7 'c - / <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinance <br /> No. 720-80 creating a special construction <br /> fund entitled "1980 Block Grant Neighborhood <br /> Improvements Fund No. 344 , " reallocating the <br /> appropriation for Northeast Everett: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 720-80 which reads as <br /> follows : <br /> Section 2 : Authorization is hereby given to provide for <br /> the development of contract plans , specifications and <br /> detailed cost estimates and construction required to pro- <br /> vide the following: <br /> A. Port Gardner Neighborhood Improvements <br /> 1. Help from the Council for a Greater Everett <br /> with neighborhood organizing. ($875) <br /> 2 . Self Help Home Insulation Program for low and <br /> moderate income Port Gardner residents. ( $5 , 000) <br /> 3. Allocation of funds to help complete 1979 <br /> Block Grant funded Neighborhood Improvement <br /> Phase II in Port Gardner. ($10 , 792) <br /> B. Northeast Everett Neighborhood Improvements <br /> 1. Youth Recreation Program for children in <br /> Northeast Everett. ($12 , 000) <br /> 2. Help from the Council for a Greater Everett <br /> with neighborhood organizing. ($875) <br /> 3 . Create a larger bus shelter and provide more <br /> seating at Baker View Apartments and relocate <br /> the existing bus shelter to another location <br /> on the Everett Housing Authority property. <br /> This project will be accomplished with the <br /> Housing Authority' s cooperation. ($1 , 800) <br /> 4 . Install playground equipment in Riverdale <br /> Park . ($1, 992) <br /> C. Riverside Neighborhood Improvements <br /> 1. Help from the Council for a Greater Everett <br /> with neighborhood organizing. ($875) <br /> 2 . Planting of evergreen trees as a buffer along <br /> both sides of the freeway from Everett Avenue <br /> to 19th Street. ($4 , 000) <br /> 3 . Home Weatherization Progr m; this program would <br /> be for low and moderate income residents of <br /> Riverside and would be to provide attic insula- <br /> tion and weather stripping.
