July 11, 2018 <br /> Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Murphy, to amend residency requirements in Section 2.2 of the <br /> Charter, Eligibility to Hold Elective Office, including language <br /> clarifying who can run for office. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy to amend wording in Section 2, <br /> Ballot Title. <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Bader, to amend the motion to include clarifying language in Section <br /> 2.1 of the Charter to add five districts and two at large citywide to <br /> Option A and four districts and three at large citywide to Option B. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Hugh Spitzer clarified the following possible adjustment to Section 2.1 e, <br /> paragraph two: "Notwithstanding the foregoing, when the City Council is <br /> to read "Notwithstanding the foregoing, except for the first year following a <br /> federal decennial census, up to the date the Districting Commission's <br /> district plan is adopted in the second year following the same census, ..." <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member <br /> Murphy, to amend Section 2.1 (e) of the Charter, to add revised <br /> language relating to annexation. <br /> Council Member Moore thanked Greg Lineberry for his contributions to the <br /> revised annexation language. <br /> 212 <br />
