Deccio Engineering Inc.
17217 7Th Ave.W.
Bothell,WA.98012
(206)390-8374
Fax:425-741-8214
October 9, 2017
Ms Dana Hendry
Dynasty Homes
P.O. Box 716
Everett, WA 98206
Re: Proposed drainage design for 7030 Lower Ridge Road Everett
Dear Dana
This site is 64,126 sf in size, which is under 5-acres and inside the UGA area. The total
impervious area is under 10,000 sf and total PGHS is under 5,000 sf. Therefore, the site is
exempt for both detention and water quality and requires the use of LID measures. The on-site
soils are determined to be a Type C and not suitable for infiltration. Based on these conditions,
per the DOE 2014 Stormwater Management Manual, Volume 1, Chapter 2, Table 2.5.1 the
project has the option of using List 2, and BMP T5.13 to address stormwater runoff.
Please note that the on-site contours show the site is separated into two separate sub-basins
which do not combine within 1/4 mile downstream and will be treated as two separate drainage
areas with impervious areas under 5,000 sf each.
These drainage basins and proposed BMP's are as follows:
• The house foot print is located in the west sub-basin which drains west then north and
proposes to use splash blocks along with 50-foot flow paths to address roof runoff along
with BMP T5.13.
• The driveways flow to the eastern sub-basin and out into the street which flows east
then north. The project proposes to use driveway dispersal along with BMP T5.13 to
address the runoff.
Please review and contact me at 206-390-8374 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Richard Deccio P.E.
Deccio Engineering
