• • 4 SALARY ORDINANCE -, 1981 Summary of Changes The following summarizes the 1981 salary ordinance changes, except deletions . The information is provided so one may have a quick assessment of the changes from last year. The salary ranges were shortened somewhat by raising the minimum salary 20o and the maximum not over 10%, (some of the ranges below E-17 were less because the ranges were so wide , but adequate spread was left for individual salary raises) . Particular changes are : 1) New administrative codes for Day Laborers. 2) C#108 Office Assistant changed to Receptionist II as E-11 , C#107 Receptionist changed to Receptionist E-10. 3) C#114 Police Property Clerk added per Civil Service and Union memorandum of agreement . 4) C#129 Deputy City Clerk changed from E-14 to E-13 equal to Executive Secretary . The incumbent is paid $1180/month at this time. . 5) C#165 City Attorney changed from E-19 to E-20. 6) C#167 CETA Grant Trainee changed from E-10 to E-09. 7) C#303 Landscaper added per Civil Service and Union memorandum of agreement . 8) Recreation series changed per the request of the department . Was Now C#315 Rec. Leader E-11 C#315 Rec. Activity Leader E-09 C#318 Swim. Pool Supv. E-13 C#318 Rec. Act . Supv. E-12 C#322 Recreation Coord.E-14 C#322 Recreation Prog. Coord. E-16 The two people that were Recreation Leaders and the one person that was the Swim Pool Supervisor are all now Recreation Activity Supervisors . This better reflects their positions . The new C#315 Recreation Activity Leader is identical to C#167 CETA Grant Trainee for Activity leaders . The Aquatics Coordinator oversees other recreation activities besides aquatics and is best reflected in the general class Recreation Coordi- nator. • 9) C#502 Bus Operator Trainee was incorporated under Bus Operator as is actually done in practice.
