• <br /> July 18, 2018 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., July 18, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Council President Roberts presiding. Upon roll call, it was <br /> found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, McNeal, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Moore was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 11, 2018, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Fire Chief Dave DeMarco introduced new firefighters Chau Nguyen, <br /> Andrew Porter, Dustin Todd, Mark Bates, and Joseph Reynolds to the <br /> Everett Fire Department. <br /> • <br /> Mayor Franklin presented the firefighters with their badges. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member McNeal reported on her attendance at the Everett Police <br /> Academy last week. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated the technical system update may affect the <br /> broadcast this evening. He reported on his attendance at the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council Transportation Policy Board meeting. President Roberts, <br /> with concurrence from the Council, stated the format for ordinances would <br /> be updated to use a legislative format consistent with the State's <br /> methodology for statutory amendments. He stated that tonight the Council <br /> will hear the Metro Everett tentative schedule in order to prepare for <br /> community outreach. <br /> • <br /> 217 <br />
