RESOLUTION NO 6607 A RESOLUTION concerning 2013 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and allocations of HOME and Housing Trust Funds - 2060 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs, and Everett is estimated to receive $732,110 for 2013; and WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; and. WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities for Everett and has made its recommendations for 2013 CDBG funds, HOME, and 2060 Housing Trust funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above committee; and WHEREAS, the first priority for use of HOME funds is the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) program for Housing Rehabilitation Loans; and WHEREAS, the 2013 Annual Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority, Snohomish County and local non-profit service providers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: 1. Projects to be funded in 2013 Public Service Projects Recommended Community Health Center(CDBG) Primary Health Care $16,610.00 Everett Family YMCA (CDBG) $6,839.00 Day Care Camp Fire(CDBG) Camp Scholarship Assistance $2,931.00 Imagine Children's Museum (CDBG) $2,930.00 Discovery Club Assistance League (CDBG) Operation School Bell $12,171.00 Schack Arts Center(CDBG) Art Glass Training $1,954.00 Little Red School House(CDBG) $4,885.00 Early Intervention
