DRIVES will replace the Driver and Plate Search(DAPS)program that the Court has had a contract <br /> with to use since 2006. The new DRIVES system allows the Court to research online driver and vehicle <br /> records. Access to DRIVES allows the Court to have the capability to look up registered owner history <br /> information to resolve parking ticket issues as well as driver history. With the implementation of their new <br /> system,the Court needs to enter into a new contract with Department of Licensing. This contract is for five <br /> years. There is no cost to the Court for access to this system. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interagency Data Sharing Agreement for Driver and Vehicle System Access <br /> contract with the Department of Licensing at no cost tQ the City. <br />
