August 8, 2018 <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Evergreen Way Alliance <br /> Presented by Hil Kaman, Administration; <br /> Jeanine Warner, Evergreen Way Alliance <br /> Ms. Warner commented about the need for some assistance with local <br /> business networking. <br /> Council Member Murphy recommended the Alliance partner with the <br /> Downtown Everett Association. <br /> Council Member Tuohy requested the City's economic development team <br /> provide assistance to the Alliance. <br /> Council Member Bader recommended the economic development staff <br /> provide a future presentation to Council regarding Evergreen Way and the <br /> future of retail. <br /> Mayor Franklin thanked the Alliance for their work and stated the economic <br /> development team will reach out to the group. <br /> Public Hearing on Clinics and Social Services in Metro Everett Plan <br /> Presented by Allan Giffen, Planning <br /> President Roberts opened the public hearing regarding clinics and social <br /> services in the Metro Everett Plan. He stated that he would not be reading <br /> all of eight of the ordinances into the record as the ordinances have all been <br /> published. He stated all public input is being gathered and organized by the <br /> Planning Department. <br /> Allan Giffen, Planning, provided a presentation. He also commented on a <br /> vesting question received in a letter from Ideal Option, a treatment clinic, <br /> requesting to be grandfathered or exempted from application of the <br /> moratorium adopted as part of Ordinance 3598-18. <br /> Discussion took place regarding the definition of clinics and social service <br /> facililities, the number of existing clinics and social services in Metro Everett, <br /> 244 <br />
