G. Contract Rates. The rates specified in this section for taxicabs and for-hire vehicles <br /> shall not apply to transportation of persons provided pursuant to a written contract <br /> which establishes a fare at a different rate for specified transportation which has been <br /> entered into prior to the passenger's request for transportation and has been approved <br /> by the city clerk; provided, that no contract may include any provision(s)the effect of <br /> which is to directly or indirectly require exclusive use of the transportation services of <br /> the contracting taxicab or for-hire vehicle. The contract shall not exceed one year. <br /> Section 2. Savings. <br /> The enactment of this Resolution shall not affect any case, proceeding, appeal, or other matter <br /> currently pending in any court or in any way modify any right or liability, civil or criminal, <br /> which may be in existence on the effective date of this Resolution. <br /> Section 3.
