August 22, 2018 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Mike Wright, Everett, extended his thanks to Officer Purcell and David <br /> Green, Parks, for their help with an encampment cleanup in the Silver Lake <br /> area. <br /> COUNCIL BREIFING AGENDA: <br /> Adopt a resolution naming the proposed park adjacent to the YMCA <br /> located at 4730 Colby Avenue "Arthur Grossman Memorial Park" <br /> Presented by Kembra Landry, Planning <br /> Discussion ensued regarding naming conventions in relation to <br /> geographical locations, historical significance of naming parks, the public <br /> place naming policy, and naming an unbuilt park. <br /> Council Member Murphy requested that the policy be reviewed again and <br /> the entire list of names be brought back to Council for consideration. <br /> Municipal Golf Operations Update <br /> Presented by Lori Cummings, Parks <br /> Discussion ensued regarding demand versus dynamic pricing, debt of the <br /> golf courses and their financial viability, repurposing the land, shorter <br /> courses, and phasing out of the golf business. <br /> PROPOSED ACTION ITEMS: <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1807-25 <br /> SECOND READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE adopting the Metro Everett Subarea Plan, <br /> repealing the Everett Downtown Plan and the Everett Station Plan in <br /> accordance with Sections 2 and 3 of this Ordinance <br /> 263 <br />
