2.1.2 Element 2: Establish Construction Access <br /> Construction access or activities occurring on unpaved areas shall be minimized, yet where <br /> necessary, access points shall be stabilized to minimize the tracking of sediment onto public <br /> roads. Construction vehicle access and exit shall be limited to one route, if possible. Wheel <br /> washing, street sweeping, and street cleaning may be necessary if the stabilized construction <br /> access is not effective. All wash wastewater shall be controlled on site and cannot be <br /> discharged into waters of the State. If sediment is tracked off site, roads shall be cleaned <br /> thoroughly at the end of each day, or more frequently during wet weather. Sediment shall be <br /> removed from roads by shoveling or pickup sweeping and shall be transported to a controlled <br /> sediment disposal area. <br /> Applicable BMPs: <br /> • BMP C105: Stabilized Construction Entrance/Exit <br /> • BMP C106: Wheel Wash <br /> • BMP C107: Construction Road/parking Area Stabilization. <br /> Installation Schedules: Start of project and replaced as needed and at start of wet season. <br /> Inspection and Maintenance plan: Responsible staff to make weekly site walks and inspection to <br /> identify deficiencies in onsite BMPs and anticipate potential problems and remedies. <br /> Responsible Staff: Identified Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead in Section 3 of this <br /> SWPPP. <br /> Page � 7 <br />
