Ted de Budden
From: Ted de Budden
Sent: Tuesday,June 28,2016 5:04 PM
To: Spring Wathen
Cc: Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: 1211 Everett Ave
Spring,
Here is a brief summary of my research and observations conducted today for the house located at 1211 Everett Ave.
It is my opinion based on research of property, permit records and the inspection observations conducted today that the
house was originally constructed as a single story one bedroom one bath house with a main living room/dining room
with kitchen and back porch area.
At some point in the past the structure was altered by the construction of dividing walls to separate the living room area
and to enclose and create a larger rear porch room. This altered room layout is recognizable by the newer wallboard
products that have been used to create these rooms. The original walls were finished with an older plaster method.
I cannot locate any permit records for these alterations. Permits and approvals are required by code for alterations of
this type.
Due to the alterations and occupancy contrary to law,the structure is an Unlawful Structure as defined by code. IPMC
section108.1.4
Thank you for the opportunity to provide assistance in this matter.
Sincerely
Ted de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
