Staff will <br /> provide an update on the proposed fare change with a recommendation to implement a streamlined plan, <br /> effective January 1,2019. The revised plan is consistent with a public desire for simplification of the fare <br /> increases. This will be the first reading of the Ordinance with the final reading and Public Hearing scheduled <br /> for September 26,2018. Final action is required by the end of September to assure implementation on <br /> January 1, 2019. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> An Ordinance updating transit fares and transfer policy, amending Ordinance 2918-06 (EMC 3.52.090) and <br /> repealing Resolutions 3975, 5114 and 5337. <br /> 1 <br />
