EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> City of Everett Facilities <br /> Arc Flash Breaker Coordination Studies Engineering Fee Proposal <br /> Dear Jeff, <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you for the Arc Flash Breaker Coordination <br /> Studies at the following facilities; <br /> •WSB-Wall Street Bldg.-2930 Wetmore Ave,Everett 98201 <br /> •South Precinct/911 Dispatch- 1121 SE Everett Mall Way,Everett 98208 <br /> •EPAC-Everett Performing Arts Center-2710 Wetmore Ave.,Everett 98201 <br /> •Main Library-2702 Hoyt Ave.,Everett 98201 <br /> •SC#1-Service Center Building#1-3200 Cedar St.,Everett 98201 <br /> •Everett Station-3201 Smith Ave.,Everett 98201 <br /> Under this proposal the existing electrical systems will be analyzed using SKM Power Tools <br /> software. The short circuit current study will be completed and existing equipment AIC ratings <br /> will be analyzed for insufficient ratings. The breaker coordination will be optimized and will <br /> attempt to keep incident energy below 8 cal/cm2. A complete report will be generated which will <br /> include the Short Circuit Study,Protection Coordination Study,Protective Device Evaluation and <br /> Arc Flash Hazard Analysis.Protective device recommendations will be provided within the <br /> study to help improve breaker coordination or lower incident energy values.Installation of these <br /> recommended devices is not included as part of this proposal.Arc Flash Hazard labels will be <br /> provided for installation on switchgear,switchboards and panels where required. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> Scope of work for each study will include the following: <br /> TASK 1—Arc Flash Breaker Coordination Analysis <br /> The arc flash breaker coordination analysis includes the following: <br /> •Review electrical systems information provided by the city. <br /> •The Short Circuit Current,Protective Coordination,and Arc Flash Hazard <br /> analysis studies will be produced utilizing SKM software. Existing breakers will <br /> be coordinated to meet the maximum PPE Category Level 2 requirements(or as <br /> close as possible).A report including the studies will be provided. <br /> •One(1)hardcopy of the report will be provided to the local operations and <br /> maintenance team for posting in the electrical room.This copy will also contain a <br /> CD which will contain the entire report in PDF format as well as the SKM project <br /> files on it. <br /> •Electronic copies of the report and SKM project files will be provided to the local <br /> team as required. <br /> •Arc Flash Hazard labels will be provided for installation on equipment as <br /> required. <br /> TASK 2—Additional equipment information gathering <br /> •Retrieval of additional system/component information as required.This will <br /> require removing cover plates on live panels to obtain obscured information and <br /> wire sizes.Removal of equipment cover plates will need to be conducted by a <br /> city electrician. <br /> Assumptions,Clarifications and Exclusions: <br /> 1.The city will provide the electrical system and component information for each site as <br /> required to provide the modeling. <br /> 2.Protective device recommendations may be provided within the studies to help improve <br /> breaker coordination or lower incident energy values.
