• • ORDINANCE NO. 706-2o AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of South Broadway at 1020 South Broadway. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett did by Resolution No. 1788 duly adopted and fix the 28th day of May, 1980, at 8:30 a.m., as the date for public hearing; and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said hearing and determination of said resolution has been given by the City Clerk in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing favorable statements and objections to the vacating of the herein described street were heard and discussed; and WHEREAS, City Council finds, as a result of said public hearing, that the street vacation provides a public benefit and that the public interest is served thereby; and WHEREAS, it now appears to the City Council of the City of Everett that the portion of said street resolved to be vacated should be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That portion of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 18, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, W.M., described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said Section 18; Thence N 0 41'40" E along the west line thereof 265.43 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of P.S.H. No. 1 (South Broadway); thence N 69 14'20" E along said line 2417.91 feet; thence S 20°45'40" E 50.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence N 69°14'20" E 213.40 feet to the west line of the east 80.00 feet of the southwest quarter of said Section 18; thence N 0°14'26" W along said line 53.39 feet to a line parallel with and distant southeasterly 50.00 feet from the center line of said P.S.H. No. 1 (South Broadway); thence S 69°14'20" W along said line 213.16 feet; thence South 53.47 feet to the true point of beginning. Containing 10,664 sq. ft. -1-
