• + <br /> 1 <br /> 2 ORDINANCE NO. y.3- ye) <br /> 3 AN ORDINANCE establishing the non-salary <br /> 4 items of compensation granted the Appointed <br /> Officers and Elected Officials of the City of <br /> 5 Everett and repealing Ordinance No. 345-74. <br /> 6 WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to provide to all Appointive <br /> Officers non-salary items of compensation, commonly referred to as fringe benefits, <br /> 7 which are at least comparable to those provided to private industry, other <br /> 8 governmental jurisdictions, and those provided to City employees represented by <br /> 9 labor organizations; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to grant certain items of non- <br /> 10 salary compensation to the Elected Officials of the City of Everett, <br /> 11 <br /> 12 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 13 Section 1: Appointive Officers: <br /> 14 A. The work week for all Appointive Officers of the City shall be <br /> established by the Mayor in accordance with what he deems necessary <br /> 15 and appropriate for efficient functioning of the the City government. <br /> Appointive Officers shall in no instance be accorded premium pay for the <br /> 16 following: Overtime, longevity, call back, of if necessary, for working on <br /> a holiday designated in this ordinance. <br /> 17 <br /> B. The City shall provide an insurance plan for all Appointive Officers <br /> 18 comprised of the following: <br /> 19 1. Basic medical and major medical coverage for the officer and his <br /> dependents. <br /> 20 <br /> 2. Major dental coverage for the officer and his dependents. <br /> 21 • <br /> 3. $2,000.00 life insurance for the officer. Dependents may be <br /> 22 covered at the officer's option and expense. <br /> 23 4. Life insurance at an amount equal to twice the officer's annual <br /> salary to a maximum face amount of $100,000, plus adjusted <br /> 24 payments for loss of limbs. <br /> 25 5. Long term disability insurance providing for payment of an amount <br /> equal to 2/3rds of the officer's annual salary not to exceed <br /> 26 $2,000.00 monthly until age 70. <br /> 27 6. Annual physical examinations for all department heads. <br /> 28 7. Vision care plan for the Appointive Officer and their dependents. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
