• <br /> w <br /> 1 Section 4: Person(s) of the age of 61 years or older shall be eligible to pay a <br /> 2 reduced rate for single family residence service as follows: <br /> 3 <br /> $6.65 per month, to July 31, 1980; <br /> 4 $7.15 per month, August 1, 1980, to July 31, 1981; <br /> $7.65 per month, August 1, 1981, and thereafter. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Qualifications for said reduced rate shall be: <br /> 7 1. The property to which the utility service is extended shall have a valid <br /> 8 property tax exemption, pursuant to RCW 84.36.381 through RCW 84.36.385. <br /> 9 2. Claimants for said reduction shall live within the corporate limits of the <br /> 10 City of Everett and have a household income level no greater than $7,000 per year; <br /> 11 "income" as used herein shall be computed in the same manner as in RCW 84.36.381. <br /> 12 3. No persons receiving income other than the claimant or the claimant and <br /> 13 spouse shall occupy the property to which utility service is extended. <br /> 14 PROVIDED, however, persons of the age of 61 years or older and meeting the <br /> 15 qualifications hereinafter specified but whose household income, calculated in the same <br /> 16 manner as income is calculated for purposes of RCW 84.36.381, is $4,000 or less shall be <br /> 17 exempt from any water rate increase provided for herein this ordinance and shall be <br /> 18 charged at the existing water rate: <br /> 19 <br /> Single family residence fixed rate $5 50 per unit <br /> 20 <br /> The minimum monthly charge shall apply to all services to which water <br /> 21 is available without regard to actual consumption. <br /> 22 <br /> Section 5: The City Treasurer shall establish rules, regulations, forms and <br /> 23 <br /> affidavits necessary for verification of eligibility for the reduced rates for low income <br /> 24 senior citizens as herein defined and to assure compliance with the terms of this <br /> 25 ordinance. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 28 <br /> CITY CLERK DEPUTY <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Passed: %L /929 <br /> Valid: ay l�1 <br /> 9 <br /> 32 Published: / /92 <br />
