• <br /> 0 . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6 / 'J - 7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing the design and construction <br /> of a storm drain system and water main on East Cady Road <br /> and creating a special design and construction fund entitled <br /> "East Cady Road Improvements Fund 332. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett is aware of the need for <br /> an outlet pipe from Beverly Lake; and <br /> WHEREAS, the existing wood stave water main along East Cady Road is due <br /> for replacement and upgrading to current Water Department standards; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council on March 7, 1979, authorized the Engineering <br /> Department to prepare plans and specifications for East Cady Road improvements; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council on April 18, 1979, authorized award of the <br /> construction contract for East Cady Road Improvement: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained that: <br /> Section 1 <br /> A special design and construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. 332 <br /> entitled "East Cady Road Improvements". All revenue and expenditures for the <br /> design, construction and associated activities required to design and construct <br /> the improvement shall be recorded in this fund. <br /> Section 2 <br /> The City Engineer of the City of Everett under the administration of the Mayor <br /> is hereby given the responsibility of providing for the design and construction of <br /> the proposed improvements. <br /> Section 3 <br /> The City Treasurer of the City of Everett is hereby authorized to negotiate a <br /> reasonable rate of interest and issue interest bearing warrants to satisfy interim <br /> construction costs not to exceed $100,000.00. These interest bearing warrants <br /> shall be redeemed by the Treasurer as soon as reimbursement or long term bond <br /> financing monies, as described elsewhere in this Ordinance, are received. <br /> Section 4 <br /> The sum of $100,000.00 is hereby appropriated to Fund 332 for the purposes herein <br /> specified in the following manner: <br /> a. Project Costs <br /> Construction Contract Amount $80,000 <br /> 10% Construction Contingency 8,000 <br /> In-House Engineering 12,000 <br /> TOTAL $100,000 <br />
