August 29, 2018 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., August 29, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Roberts presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, Murphy, McNeal, Bader, and Stonecipher were present. <br /> Council Member Tuohy was excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 22, 2018, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin reported on the Mayor's Award Ceremony for the Everett <br /> Public Library's summer reading program. She congratulated the young <br /> people of Everett and Library staff for a successful summer event. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy reported that the Council Budget Subcommittee is <br /> scheduled to meet next Wednesday, September 5, at 5:30 p.m. in the <br /> council chambers. <br /> President Roberts suggested, after receiving additional information from <br /> City staff, the action to adopt a resolution naming the proposed park <br /> adjacent to the YMCA be tabled pending further discussion. There were no <br /> council members opposed. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Lyle Ryan, Chief of Staff, had no comments. <br /> 272 <br />
