• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. r 7� <br /> 2 <br /> 3 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 4085, Section 31, also <br /> known as Section 14.16.330 of the Everett Municipal Code on <br /> 4 service pipe for new plats. and repealing Ord. 574-79. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 7 Section 1: Ordinance No. 4085, Section 31, which reads: <br /> 8 Section 31: Service Pipe - New Plats - Street Paving. At such time as the <br /> 9 Water Department is installing a section of distribution system piping in a new plat or <br /> 10 subdivision under a street which is to be paved after completion of the water main <br /> 11 installation, the Water Department shall, at the same time, install water service piping <br /> 12 extending from the main under and across that portion of the street which is to be <br /> 13 paved to each of the platted lots on the side of the street opposite the new main. It is <br /> 14 the intent of this section to minimize the number of "open-cuts" required across a newly <br /> 15 paved street in order to provide water service to subsequently constructed homes on the <br /> 16 side of the street opposite the new main. The cost of materials for installation of such <br /> 17 service pipe crossings shall be borne by the developer or local improvement district <br /> 18 paying for the distribution system piping. The cost of labor and equipment rental for <br /> 19 installation of such service pipe crossings shall be borne by the Water Department. <br /> 20 When the developer or local improvement district has paid for installation of the service <br /> 21 pipe under the street, the individual service connection cost shall be reduced to Sixty <br /> 22 Dollars ($60) for 3/4" (inch) service, Ninety Dollars ($90) for a 1 inch service and Four <br /> 23 Hundred Dollars ($400) for a 2 inch service. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 26 <br /> Section 31: Services For New Developments. At such time as the Water <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Department or developer is installing a section of distribution system piping in a new <br /> 29 plat or subdivision, the Water Department or developer shall, at the same time, install <br /> water service piping from the main to each of the platted lots. It is the intent of this <br /> 30 <br /> section to minimize the number of "open-cuts" required in a newly paved street, in <br /> 31 <br /> order to provide water service to subsequently constructed homes.
