• • • • 1 Section 7: Residential Parking Zone Permit - Use. 2 A valid residential parking zone permit when properly displayed on the vehicle 3 for which it was issued shall exempt that vehicle, while within the zone for which the 4 permit was issued, from citation for parking longer than the posted time limit. The 5 permit shall be valid only in the zone designated on its face. The permit shall not 6 guarantee a parking space nor shall it exempt the vehicle or operator from feeding 7 parking meters nor from the observation of no parking zones, load zones, street 8 cleaning, and other zones and regulations of this code. The permit shall be non- 9 transferable, and valid one year from the date of issue so long as the permit holder 10 retains the permit vehicle and resides at the address specified on his permit application. 11 Section 8: Residential Parking Zone Permit - Unlawful Use. 12 It shall be unlawful to falsify information in application for a residential parking 13 zone permit, to fail to report a change of residence or vehicle ownership, to transfer 14 the permit to another person or vehicle, to alter the permit, to improperly display the 15 permit, or to violate any other terms or conditions under which the permit was issued. 16 Any such unlawful use shall subject the permit holder to revocation of this permit, 17 denial of eligibility for reapplication for one year, and to other penalties as described in 18 this ordinance. 19 Section 9: Residential Parking Zone Permit - Description. 20 The residential parking zone permit shall be three inches square and adhesive on 21 its face. The face of the permit shall specify the nature of the permit, the zone in 22 which it shall be valid, the license number of the vehicle, the serial number of the 23 permit, and its expiration date. The back side of the permit shall specify the uses and 24 restrictions as set forth in Sections 7 and 8 of this ordinance. The permit shall be 25 affixed in a permanent fashion by its adhesive face to the inner side of and in the lower 26 right hand corner of the windshield of the vehicle. 27 Section 10: Residential Parking Zone Permit Application and Issue. 28 The application for a residential parking zone permit shall include the name, 29 address, telephone number and driver's license number of the applicant, the make, 30 31 32 Page -5-
