• <br /> , <br /> 1 "Administrative Authority" - The Administrative Authority is the indi- <br /> vidual official, board, department, or agency established and authorized <br /> 2 by a state, county, city, or other political subdivision created by law to <br /> administer and enforce the provisions of the plumbing code as adopted or <br /> 3 amended. <br /> 4 and inserting in its place: <br /> 5 "Administrative Authority" - The Administrative Authority is the Building <br /> Official and is the official authorized to administer and enforce the <br /> 6 provisions of this Code. <br /> 7 Section 38. That Section 117 (f), Plumbing Systems, be, and is hereby amended <br /> 8 by deleting: <br /> 9 "The plumbing system means and includes all potable water supply and <br /> distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage and vent <br /> 10 pipe and all building drains, including their respective joints and <br /> connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the property <br /> 11 lines of the premises and shall include potable water piping, potable water <br /> treating or using equipment, fuel gas piping, water heaters and vents for <br /> 12 same. <br /> 13 and inserting in its place: <br /> 14 The plumbing system means and includes all potable water supply and <br /> distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage and vent <br /> 15 pipe and all building drains, including their respective joints and <br /> connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the property <br /> 16 lines of the premises and shall include potable water piping, and potable <br /> water treating or using equipment. <br /> 17 <br /> Section 39. That Section 310 of the Uniform Plumbing Code be, and is hereby <br /> 18 <br /> amended by adding a new Subsection (h) which reads as follows: <br /> 19 <br /> (h) Sillcocks (hosebibbs) shall not be installed in or over any outside access <br /> 20 to underfloor crawl space, (hosebibb) shall not be installed in a manner <br /> that is not properly secured and readily removable. <br /> 21 <br /> Section 40. That Section 401 of the Uniform Plumbing Code be, and is hereby <br /> 22 <br /> amended by deleting: <br /> 23 <br /> Section 401 - Materials <br /> 24 <br /> (a) Drainage pipe shall be cast iron, galvanized steel, galvanized <br /> 25 wrought iron, lead, copper, brass, ABS, PVC or other approved <br /> materials having a smooth and uniform bore, except: <br /> 26 <br /> 1. That no galvanized wrought iron or galvanized steel pipe <br /> 27 shall be used underground and shall be kept at least six (6) <br /> inches above ground. <br /> 28 <br /> 2. ABS or PVC installations limited to residential construction <br /> 29 not more than two (2) stories in height. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> - 35 - <br />
