September 26, 2018 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., September 26, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Roberts presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, McNeal, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of the September 19, 2018, City Council meeting were approved as printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. The minutes of the September 19, 2018, City Council Special workshop were approved as printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. MAYOR Mayor Franklin reported on the acceptance of a gift of artwork into the City's public art collection, which was donated by the Everett Arboretum and Gardens group. She stated the sculpture entitled "Siblings" was commissioned by Tulalip artist James Madison. COUNCIL Council Member McNeal reported on her attendance last Thursday at the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of Everett's newest Delta Marriott hotel. She stated she also attended meetings of the Casino Road Stakeholders and the Silver Lake Neighborhood. Council Member Tuohy reported on her attendance at the Council of Neighborhoods meeting last week. She announced the annual Monte Cristo Awards Ceremony will be on October 25 at the Historic Everett Theatre, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Council Member Murphy provided a Council Budget Subcommittee update on the 2019 budget, and recognized the Mayor, Lyle Ryan, Susy Haugen, and staff for their work. He announced that the Budget Subcommittee is 303
