September 26, 2018 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., September 26, 2018, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Roberts presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, Murphy, McNeal, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were <br /> present. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 19, 2018, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> The minutes of the September 19, 2018, City Council Special workshop <br /> were approved as printed. Council Member Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin reported on the acceptance of a gift of artwork into the City's <br /> public art collection, which was donated by the Everett Arboretum and <br /> Gardens group. She stated the sculpture entitled "Siblings" was <br /> commissioned by Tulalip artist James Madison. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member McNeal reported on her attendance last Thursday at the <br /> ribbon-cutting and grand opening of Everett's newest Delta Marriott hotel. <br /> She stated she also attended meetings of the Casino Road Stakeholders <br /> and the Silver Lake Neighborhood. <br /> Council Member Tuohy reported on her attendance at the Council of <br /> Neighborhoods meeting last week. She announced the annual Monte Cristo <br /> Awards Ceremony will be on October 25 at the Historic Everett Theatre, <br /> beginning at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a Council Budget Subcommittee update <br /> on the 2019 budget, and recognized the Mayor, Lyle Ryan, Susy Haugen, <br /> and staff for their work.
