C. CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA <br /> 1. Flood Plain Zoning shall be applied to those areas <br /> which have been identified by Everett' s Flood Insurance <br /> Study as having a special flood hazard potential, dated <br /> October 1977 with accompanying Flood Insurance Maps, <br /> which is hereby adopted by reference and declared to be <br /> a part of this ordinance. The Flood Insurance Study is <br /> on file at the City of Everett Planning Department. <br /> 2. Specifically, there will be two areas : <br /> a. Floodway District <br /> b. Flood Fringe District <br /> D. FLOODWAY DISTRICT <br /> 1. Permitted Uses <br /> The following uses have a low flood damage potential <br /> and not obstructing flood flows shall be permitted <br /> with the Floodway District provided they are not pro- <br /> hibited by any other ordinance and provided they do <br /> not require structures, fill or storage of materials <br /> or equipment, and meet the requirements of Federal <br /> regulations Title (24 CFR) Section 1910. 3 . <br /> a. Agricultural uses such as general farming, pasture, <br /> grazing, outdoor plant nurseries, horticulture, <br /> truck farming, forestry, sod farming and wild crop <br /> harvesting. <br /> b. Residential uses such as lawns, gardens, parking <br /> areas, and play areas. <br /> -5- <br />
