1 ORDINANCE NO. 5 )4(- 77 <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance 492-77, establishing <br /> the basic salary schedule for employees of the City of <br /> 3 Everett for 1978, and repealing Ordinance 427-76 and <br /> declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> 4 <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 5 <br /> Section 1: It is the purpose of this ordinance to fix the <br /> 6 classification and salary for each employee in the City of <br /> Everett and to establish part-time employment and day <br /> 7 labor rates and nothing herein shall be construed to prevent <br /> the various department heads, with the consent of the <br /> 8 Mayor, from employing such additional employees as from <br /> time to time may be necessary in the proper discharge of <br /> 9 the duties of such office or from discharging such tempor- <br /> ary or part-time employees when the necessity therefore <br /> 10 has ceased to exist. <br /> 11 Section 2: The salary schedule for all employees shall be <br /> as contained herein. <br /> 12 <br /> CLASSIFICATION RANGE STEP STEP STEP STEP STEP <br /> 13 TITLE NO.
