• . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1-11 ?- ,777 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 18A of Ordinance <br /> 4085, also known as Section 14 . 16. 210 A of the <br /> Everett Municipal Code by providing certain <br /> amendments and additions relating to service <br /> pipe material. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 18A of Ordinance 4085, also known as <br /> Section 14. 16. 210 (A) which reads as follows : <br /> A. Service Pipe Material. Type "K" copper tubing only shall <br /> be the service pipe material used between the main and the <br /> service cock or meter for three-fourths inch and one inch <br /> service connections. Galvanized malleable iron, galvanized <br /> wrought iron or steel, lined and coated steel or lined cast <br /> iron pipe only shall be used for service pipe material be- <br /> tween the main and the meter for services larger than one <br /> inch in diameter. The service pipe material on the custo- <br /> mer' s side of the service cock or meter may be any material <br /> permitted in the plumbing code of the city, except that <br /> such material shall not be plastic pipe. <br /> Being the same is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> A. Service Pipe Material. Type "K" copper or ultra-high <br /> molecular weight high density iron pipe size polyethylene <br /> or polybutylene, approved by the National Sanitation Foun- <br /> dation and meeting all applicable standards of ASTM and <br /> IAPMO only, shall be the service pipe material used be- <br /> tween the main and the service cock or meter, for three- <br /> fourth inch (3/4" ) , one inch (1" ) , and two inch (2" ) <br /> service connections. Galvanized malleable iron, galvanized <br /> wrought iron or steel, lined and coated steel or lined <br /> cast iron pipe only shall be used for service pipe material <br /> between the main and the meter for services larger than <br /> two inches in diameter.
