ORDINANCE NO. Tf/ - 7 '7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City <br /> of Everett for fiscal year commencing January 1, 1978 <br /> on all taxable property, both real and personal, in <br /> said City, subject to taxation thereon, for the pur- <br /> pose of raising a portion of the revenue to carry on <br /> the different departments of said City for the 'en- <br /> suing year, as required by the Charter of the City <br /> of Everett and the laws of the State of Washington; <br /> prescribing and apportioning the same into the dif- <br /> ferent funds of said City for the fiscal year, and <br /> providing for the collection thereof. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regu- <br /> larly adopted as required by law the estimate of the amounts <br /> required to meet the public expense of said City for the <br /> ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in <br /> said City for said ensuing year from sources other than <br /> direct taxation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will be required to pay the sum <br /> of $331, 470. 00 during the year 1978 upon its General Obliga- <br /> tion 1967 Street Improvement Bonds for payment of principal <br /> and interest, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That there be, and hereby is, levied upon real and <br /> personal property in the City of Everett, subject to taxation <br /> thereon, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the <br /> ensuing year commencing on January 1, 1978 in the sum of <br /> $4 , 331,125. 86 allocated as follows: <br /> General Current Expense Fund $3,749 , 677 . 37 <br /> Firemen' s Pension Fund 249 , 978 .49 <br /> General Obligation 1967 Street Improvement 331 , 470. 00 <br /> Bond, Principal & Interest <br /> Total $4 ,331, 125. 86 <br /> Section 2 : That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, directed <br /> to certify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in <br /> order that the same be extended upon the general assessment roll <br /> of said County, in the same manner and at the same time as the <br /> levy for the State and County taxes is extended. <br /> Section 3 : That said taxes shall be collected and paid to the <br /> City Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner as pro- <br /> vided by the laws of the State of Washington relating to collec- <br /> tion of taxes in cities of the first class. <br /> 71-6;-1/e° <br /> may-41,,r <br /> ATT $T : <br /> City Clerk <br /> Valid: i 0 - 5 <br /> Passed: / D - <br /> Published: ( / - a:2 - -7 ) <br />
