The Uniform <br /> Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit <br /> is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. If you <br /> wish to prevent the permit from expiring without documentation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspection if the work is completed. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department <br /> for microfilming without final approval.
