An operator of amusement devices shall not have in use, play or <br /> operation in the city more than two hundred such devices at any <br /> 2 one time; not more than eight sub-licenses shall be issued for any <br /> location except in connection with an "amusement arcade license" <br /> 3 under Section 5.12.020. Any operator of amusement devices who <br /> shall apply for and receive any amusement device sub-license plate <br /> 4 for use at specified location shall, when the use of such plate is <br /> discontinued, return same within five days to the city clerk. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 7 <br /> 5.12.060 Fees <br /> 8 <br /> A. The license year shall be from January 1 to December 31. All <br /> 9 license fees shall be payable on an annual basis in advance except <br /> as hereinafter provided, which fees shall be as follows: <br /> 10 <br /> 1. Master operator's device license and business owner's device <br /> 11 license. The license fee for a master operator's device <br /> license or a business owner's device license which is <br /> 12 operated or activated by insertion of a coin shall be Twenty- <br /> Five Dollars ($25) per device. <br /> 13 <br /> 2. Amusement arcade license. $200 per year. <br /> 14 <br /> 3. Master operator's license. $500 per year. <br /> 15 <br /> B. In addition to the license fees hereinabove provided for, every <br /> 16 applicant for a master operator's license or amusement arcade <br /> license shall, before receiving his license, execute a cash bond to <br /> 17 the City of Everett in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) to <br /> indemnify against any fines or penalties issued pursuant to this <br /> 18 ordinance; provided, that any holder of a valid master operator's <br /> license or amusement arcade license at or prior to the effective <br /> 19 date of this ordinance shall not be required to execute a bond. Said <br /> bond shall be approved by the City Attorney, which shall be <br /> 20 refunded, less any fines or penalties imposed thereon, after the <br /> licensee has been holder of said license for two successive years. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 C. The fee for master operator's device license and business owner's <br /> device license as described in 5.12.060 (A) (1) shall be prorated at <br /> 23 one-half (1/2) the yearly fee as of July 1. <br /> 24 D. <br /> Each master operator shall notify the City Clerk and Police Department <br /> 25 in writing seven days prior to placing any amusement device at a <br /> location where an additional or new amusement device license is <br /> 26 required, pursuant to EMC 5.12.040 (A) 2. <br /> 27 Section 7: That EMC 5.12.070 which reads as follows: <br /> 28 5.12.070 Name of wholesale distributor and operator to be on amusement <br /> device. <br /> 29 <br /> It is unlawful for any person to sell, exchange, display or exhibit for <br /> 30 use or operation, or to lease, rent to, or place with another for display, <br /> exhibition, use or operation, any amusement device unless the same shall <br /> 31 have indelibly printed, painted, stamped or impressed thereon the name <br /> 32 <br />
