r ' ORDINANCE NO. 44‘6 - 77 AN ORDINANCE creating a special construction fund entitled "Service Center Construction Fund, Phase II; " authorizing the construction of service center improvements , Phase II; and authorizing the appropriation of $275 , 500 for this construction. WHEREAS, the City of Everett has long intended to complete the second floor of the Service Center, and WHEREAS, the City of Everett has immediate need of the additional space, and WHEREAS, the City has negotiated with Bryant, Butterfield and Frets to prepare construction documents, and WHEREAS , the City Budget and Finance Director did advise on June 10, 1977 that the improvements could be funded by interest bearing warrants, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN THAT: Section 1. A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. 318 entitled "Service Center Construction Fund, Phase II" for the design, construction and associated activities required to. construct the improvements defined in the following sections. Section 2 . Authorization is given to design and construct the uncompleted portion of the second floor of the Service Center (approximately 8 , 000 square feet) and to provide for a new entrance to the second floor from Cedar Street. Section 3 . Authorization is given to remodel the main floor of the warehouse portion of the building to accomodate re- locating the water meter service room; to remodel the offices for the purchasing and warehouse supervisor; and to move the parking meter repair room to the mezzanine. Section 4 . The total estimated cost of the improvements herein authorized is $275 , 500 which includes all costs of the design, plans and specification preparation, construction and associated costs . Section 5. The city project coordinator of the City of Everett under the administration of the mayor is hereby given the responsibility of providing for the design and construc- tion of the improvements as defined herein.
