Litz..-,4.) <br /> • <br /> AN ORDINANCE designating arterial <br /> streets in the City of Everett, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett by Ordinance No.45J-7 7 <br /> adopted the "Washington Model Traffic Ordinance", hereinafter referred <br /> to as the MTO; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MTO deletes the portion of the Everett Traffic Code, <br /> Ordinance No. 123-71 and amendments thereto which designates the arterial <br /> streets; the one-way streets; and the streets within the Central Business <br /> District in the City of Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett desires that the <br /> arterial streets; the one-way streets; and the streets within the Central, <br /> Business District be designated; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> Section 1. The operator of any motor vehicle entering upon <br /> any arterial highway or street in the City of Everett from a <br /> public or private highway, road, streetway, or driveway, shall <br /> yield the right-of-way to vehicles on such arterial highway or <br /> street and shall come to a full stop thereon when and where signs, <br /> posts or other markers so direct or indicate, or shall yield the <br /> right-of-way when and where signs, posts or other markers so direct <br /> or indicate. All portions of state highways, together with all <br /> temporary detours thereof within the limits of the City of Everett <br /> hereby are designated as arterial highways within said City, <br /> together with such other highways, roads or streets as may be <br /> from time to time hereafter determined upon by the City Council <br /> and designated and filed as provided by the laws of the State of <br /> Washington. <br /> Section 2. The following streets and highways in the City of <br /> Everett are hereby made a part of the City's arterial street <br /> system and are hereby classified as Major Arterials: <br /> MAJOR ARTERIALS LIMITS <br /> Norton Avenue Pacific Avenue-Alverson Blvd. <br /> Rucker Avenue Everett Avenue-43rd Street <br /> Alverson Boulevard Norton Avenue-Walnut Street <br /> - ' South Broadway, Broadway/ North City Limits-South City Limits <br /> Highway 529 North <br /> Walnut Street Alverson Boulevard-East Grand Avenue <br /> East Grand Avenue Walnut Street-Interstate 5 <br /> Evergreen Way 43rd Street-South City Limits <br /> Bothell Way Broadway Interchange of Interstate 5- <br /> South City Limits <br /> Airport Road SR 526-South City Limits <br /> 20th Avenue West Northerly limit-SR 526 <br /> Everett Avenue Norton Avenue-Interstate 5 <br /> Hewitt Avenue Broadway-East City Limits <br /> Pacific Avenue Norton Avenue-Interstate 5 <br /> Mukilteo Blvd/41st Street West City Limits-So. 3rd St. <br /> 100th Street Holly Drive to Evergreen Way <br />
