Litz..-,4.) • AN ORDINANCE designating arterial streets in the City of Everett, WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett by Ordinance No.45J-7 7 adopted the "Washington Model Traffic Ordinance", hereinafter referred to as the MTO; and WHEREAS, the MTO deletes the portion of the Everett Traffic Code, Ordinance No. 123-71 and amendments thereto which designates the arterial streets; the one-way streets; and the streets within the Central Business District in the City of Everett; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett desires that the arterial streets; the one-way streets; and the streets within the Central, Business District be designated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: Section 1. The operator of any motor vehicle entering upon any arterial highway or street in the City of Everett from a public or private highway, road, streetway, or driveway, shall yield the right-of-way to vehicles on such arterial highway or street and shall come to a full stop thereon when and where signs, posts or other markers so direct or indicate, or shall yield the right-of-way when and where signs, posts or other markers so direct or indicate. All portions of state highways, together with all temporary detours thereof within the limits of the City of Everett hereby are designated as arterial highways within said City, together with such other highways, roads or streets as may be from time to time hereafter determined upon by the City Council and designated and filed as provided by the laws of the State of Washington. Section 2. The following streets and highways in the City of Everett are hereby made a part of the City's arterial street system and are hereby classified as Major Arterials: MAJOR ARTERIALS LIMITS Norton Avenue Pacific Avenue-Alverson Blvd. Rucker Avenue Everett Avenue-43rd Street Alverson Boulevard Norton Avenue-Walnut Street - ' South Broadway, Broadway/ North City Limits-South City Limits Highway 529 North Walnut Street Alverson Boulevard-East Grand Avenue East Grand Avenue Walnut Street-Interstate 5 Evergreen Way 43rd Street-South City Limits Bothell Way Broadway Interchange of Interstate 5- South City Limits Airport Road SR 526-South City Limits 20th Avenue West Northerly limit-SR 526 Everett Avenue Norton Avenue-Interstate 5 Hewitt Avenue Broadway-East City Limits Pacific Avenue Norton Avenue-Interstate 5 Mukilteo Blvd/41st Street West City Limits-So. 3rd St. 100th Street Holly Drive to Evergreen Way
