Asserta Health will be an additional resource for employees who are insured under the City's self-insured Healthcare Management Administrators (HMA)medical plan. Asserta Health is a voluntary plan for HMA participants. Asserta Health will assist employees to understand how their medical plan works and how they can lower out of pocket costs by choosing high value providers and facilities that consistently deliver good outcomes at an affordable price. If an HMA plan participant selects one of the recommended providers for a procedure,the City pays the provider directly for services rendered through the Asserta Health platfoun and the employee's out of pocket costs are waived. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Administrative Service agreement with Asserta Health for concierge referral services. 71
