'The one-hour occupancy separation <br />between the H-4 and B occupancies should <br />form a complete separation from floor to roof <br />sheathing. It appears the northern offices on <br />the second Floor may be part of the separation. <br />The existing construction and opening <br />protection should be verified to be of one-hour <br />construction. Sec. 302.2." <br />2. "The one-hour occupancy separation <br />requires 60 minute, self-closing opening <br />protection. Glazing is not rated by UBC <br />Standard 7-4 above 45 minutes. The window <br />and door schedule should be revised. Sections <br />3U2.2 & 713.1:' <br />3. "The one-hour floor/ceiling assembly (part of <br />the occupancy separation) should be detailed <br />on the plans. Upper o�ce <br />window called out for replacement with 1 hr. glazing. <br />The window schedule on A-2.3 has been modified and <br />a detail added for a 1hr UL rated window assembly <br />referencing detail 5/A-2.3 ( A Technical Glass Product <br />— "Firelight"; UL R13377 (N). <br />Detail 4 on sheet A-2.3 calis out for ceiling to be <br />protected per UL No. 501. The ceilinglbeam <br />connection is to be covered using UL No. 501 in <br />conjunction with UL No. 524 per Norlhbrook, Illinois <br />Ul_ office. <br />
