Gf3 --7 . 377 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 17/3(..)-767 <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing construction of <br /> appropriate traffic control signing for <br /> two-way left turn lanes on city streets <br /> within the City of Everett and authorizing <br /> the appropriation of $45,000 from the <br /> Arterial Street Fund for the construction <br /> of the signs. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett is aware of the <br /> guidelines for signing two-way left turn lanes as defined in the Manual <br /> on Uiform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) , as adopted by the Washington <br /> State Highway Commission, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds it necessary <br /> to provide adequate traffic signs for two-way left turn lanes. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That traffic control signs, either overhead or road- <br /> side mounted in compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic <br /> Control Devices as adopted by the Washington State Highway <br /> Commission, be constructed for the two-way left turn lanes <br /> on city streets within the City of Everett. <br /> Section 2: The total estimated cost for providing these signs <br /> for the two-way left turn lanes shall be $45,000. <br /> Section 3: Appropriation of $45,000 for the purpose herein <br /> specified with funding to be provided from one-half cent gas <br /> tax revenue under Fund 301. This appropriation shall not lapse, <br /> but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully <br /> expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned, <br /> without necessity of re-appropriation as per RCW-35.33.151. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: %.2 <br /> Valid: / _ ? 7 <br /> Published: l— ,.� <br />
