Tlie <br />Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limita[ion if the work authorized by <br />the pern�it is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 <br />days. If you wish tc prevent the permit from expiring without documentation of completion and <br />without issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, you may: <br />1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, <br />or 2) Reques: final inspection if the work is completed, <br />or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br />Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department <br />for microfilming without final approval.
