Detailed drawings in accordance with City Design and Construction <br />Standards shall be submitted '_o the Public Works Department <br />showinq site parking layout, .Landscaping, utilities, storm drain- <br />age, tempurary construction erosion control, and all required <br />improvements in the public riqht-of-way. All imp2'ovements shall be completed, <br />a�.,^.roved, and warranted before the Occupancy Permit is issued. <br />2. City streets and alleys are to be k.�pt clear of dirt and debris <br />at all times durinR ccn�truction. Dust suppression and street <br />cleaning must occur as directed by the Public Works Inspector. <br />3. The Police Department has the following security recomn.;r�dations: <br />F� <br />I� <br />The perimeter doors should be solid core or metal with double <br />cylinder deadbcits. If doors open so the outside of hinges <br />are exposed, pin hinge: should be provided. <br />Metal security doors are suggested for the bay doors. They <br />should be secured with 3/S" case,hardened steel hasps or <br />chain and padlocks with 1/2" case hardened steel shackles. <br />c. A design usinq no windows or few windows, especialiy ones <br />�hat open on the sides and rear, gives more security. <br />d. Lighting of the parking lot should be a minimum of 1-2 foot <br />candles. <br />e. A monitor=_d fire and intrusion alarm system should be <br />provided which is zoned for each entity including existing <br />office space. <br />f. During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick <br />Thornberry, Crime Prevention Officer at 259-0416 for further <br />security recommendations. <br />4. A one hour occupancy separation, complying with the UBC, 1985 <br />Edition, is required between the office and the shop. A fire department permit is required to : <br />a, operate a repair garage, <br />b. conduct welding and cutting operations, <br />c. store more than five gallons of Class 1 liquids, and <br />d. conduct spraying operations. <br />6.
