This occupancy as presently constructed cannot be approved for permanent <br />occupancy Eor the following reasons: <br />A. The Uniform Buildin� Code, 1982 edition, as adopted by the State of <br />Washington, and enforced by the City of Everett, prohibits a Group <br />A-2.1 occupancy being located in a construction type V-N building. <br />The grau�i classification of use is 6etermined by the assigned <br />Occupant Load which in turn is determined by the total square <br />footage dedicated to such use. <br />One solution to this problem would be construction oE a fire rated <br />two-hour area separation wall. Such a wall would divide the <br />existing total area into two separate areas, each of which would be <br />belov the 6,000 square foot maximum allo:�ed by the Code. <br />Alternative methods may be used upo� approval of the Fire ChieE and <br />the Building OfEicial. <br />B. There are no existing fire-rated one hour occupancy separation walls <br />where this occupancy is exposed to the business occupancies at both <br />ends of the building. <br />C. The storage areas have not been prooerly separated. Here again, a <br />one-hour rating is required. <br />
