These comments address building issues only. Additional
revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning
or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the
State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1994 Edition, unless stated
otherwise.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the
corrections requested.
1. This review is only for phase II of the project. Phase III will require a separate
submittal.
2. The type of construction, building ar.a, occupancy classifications, occupant load,
sprinklers and fire alarm information should be shown on the cover sheet.
3. To mitigate the Kid's Care area (short of an E-3 Occupancy classification), the walls
surrounding the space should be constructed as for a one -hour occupancy separation
and doors should be rated for one -hour fire resistance. Section 302.3.
4. Safety glazing should be shown for the glazing within 24" of a door (closed position).
The relites into the room `office' should be revised. Section 2406.4.
5. Typical wall construction and bracing sections should be provided.
CI i Y OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street • Everett. WA 98201 9 (425) 257-8800 • Fax (425) 257-8856
