MEMORANDUM <br />1 O: ExxonMobil Oil Corporation and American Distributing Company <br />FROM: Engineering/Public Services Department <br />DATE: September 9, 2011 <br />SUBJECT: P.W. Conditions (F) <br />PROPOSAL: Removing contaminated soil and repaving parking lot <br />LOCATION: 1000 Everett Avenue <br />A review of this project by the Engineering/Public Services Department indicates that the following <br />condit;ons should apply: <br />I. Insure that no excavation out and fill material impacts ^ity of Everett right-of-way from <br />Terminal Avenue eastward. Traffic control must per MUTCD standard. Provide axel spacing <br />and weight information for dump trucks for material haul. <br />2. All parking lot striping must comply with the City of Everett Standards.(#334A) <br />3. Temporary erosion control is required as noted in Appendix: `A" of the Excavation Work Plan <br />dated May 18, 2011. As a minimum any exposed piles of dirt must be covered, piles must be <br />bordered by silt fence except in paved areas or hard packed gravel areas where fencing is not <br />practical. Consult with the City Public Works inspector for particulars. <br />4. There is a 1" copper water service line approximately 2' to 3' deed running through the <br />excavation prism, it must be re -installed or rerouted at the direction of the City water <br />department. Additionally, there are two sewer lines in the same vicinity that will need <br />protection, consideration during construction, and repaired by City of Everett personnel at the <br />applicant's expense if damaged. <br />5. Work to be done per plan approved on 08-24-2011(copy attached). <br />6. City streets and alleys are to be kept clear of dirt and debris at all times during constriction. <br />Any dirt and/or debris tracked on to City streets must be immediately collected swept by <br />vacuum sweeper as needed daily and disposed off with the contaminated soils as required in <br />cleanup process. <br />7. After all necessary property owner and City approvals are met this work must be commenced <br />and completed in a timely manner in order to avoid conflicts with the City of Everett's work <br />within the casement. <br />8. Locate all City utilities by potholing-vactor method prior to excavation near City mains. <br />
