The scope of work for Phase 2 includes replacing 49 glazing units on the south side of <br /> the building. <br /> The window replacements are required due to failed seals in the glazing units and the etching that has <br /> •'occurred on the upper band of windows. The requested funding amount is based on pricing received through ° <br /> the city's Job Order Contracting process. The requested amount includes sales tax, fees and construction <br /> contingency. <br /> This project is the second of three phases for window replacements at the Wall Street Building. The <br /> first phase replaced 20 glazing units on the north side of the building and 30 glazing units on the west side of <br /> the building. Phase 1 was completed in January 2018 with a total project cost of$138,750. The third phase, <br /> slated for January 2020 will replace approximately 50 glazing units on the east side of the building. The <br /> phasing plan is consistent with planned general fund repair and renovation projects and projected funding <br /> through the next several years. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3578-17 entitled"Wall Street Building Window Replacement <br /> Project",Fund 342, and Program 025,to accumulate theconstructioncosts for the project in the amount of <br /> $305,000. <br />
