I <br /> Asphalt binder 40 <br /> Air Voids (Va) (where applicable) 20 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Each lot of HMA produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation and having all constituents <br /> 4 falling within the toler-ance limits of the job mix formula shall be accepted at the unit I <br /> 5 Contract price with no further evaluation. When one or more constituents fall outside the <br /> 6 nonstatistical tolerance limits in the Job Mix Formula shown in Table of Price Adjustment <br /> 7 Factors, the lot shall be evaluated in accordance with Section 1-06.2 to determine the <br /> 8 appro-priate CPF. The nonstatistical tolerance limits will be used in the calculation of the <br /> 9 CPF and the maximum CPF shall be 1.00. When less than three sublots exist, backup <br /> 10 samples of the existing sublots or samples from the Roadway shall be tested to provide <br /> 11 a minimum of three sets of results for evaluation. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 5-04.3(9)C5 Vacant I <br /> 14 <br /> 15 5-04.3(9)C6 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation â Price Adjustments <br /> 16 For each lot of HMA mix produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation when the calculated <br /> 17 CPF is less than 1.00, a Nonconforming Mix Factor (NCMF) will be determined. The <br /> 18 NCMF equals the algebraic difference of CPF minus 1.00 multiplied by 60 percent. The <br /> 19 total job mix compliance price adjustment will be calculated as the product of the NCMF, <br /> 20 the quantity of HMA in the lot in tons, and the unit Contract price per ton of mix. <br /> 21 1 22 If a constituent is not measured in accordance with these Specifications, its individual <br /> 23 pay factor will be considered 1.00 in calculating the Composite Pay Factor(CPF). <br /> 24 <br /> 25 5-04.3(9)C7 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation - Retests <br /> 26 The Contractor may request a sublot be retested. To request a retest, the Contractor <br /> 27 shall submit a written request within 7 calendar days after the specific test results have <br /> 28 been received. A split of the original acceptance sample will be retested. The split of the <br /> 29 sample will not be tested with the same tester that ran the original acceptance test. The <br /> 30 sample will be tested for a complete gradation analysis, asphalt binder content, and, at <br /> 31 the option of the agency, Va. The results of the retest will be used for the acceptance of <br /> 32 the HMA in place of the original sublot sample test results.
