I <br /> 1 <br /> 2 GKK 8-34 PO HOLE-EACH RTf- <br /> 3 8-34 Pothole - Vacuum <br /> 4 (******) <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Section 8-34 is new and is supplemented with the following: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 8-34.1 Description <br /> 9 <br /> 10 This work consists of exposing underground utility to ascertain the precise horizontal and <br /> Iii vertical position by vacuum extraction. After the work is complete, Contractor shall <br /> 12 backfilled and compacted with native materials. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 8-34.2 Vacant <br /> 15 <br /> 16 8-34.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Contractor shall contact "Call Before You Dig" prior to all construction activity. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Contractor shall expose buried utilize by either air or water pressure vacuum method to <br /> 21 break up the soil and a vacuum device to collect the loosened debris. Contractor shall <br /> 22 protect exposed utilities throughout the duration of the project. Appropriate sediment <br /> 23 controls shall be implemented to prevent pollution and erosion. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The Contractor is responsible for disposing of any drilling residue or remaining spoil in <br /> 26 accordance to Section 2-03.3(7)C. Contractor shall pothole existing utilities a minimum <br /> 27 of 3 working days prior to scheduled installation of new permanent work to determine if <br /> 28 conflict exists. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 8-34.4 Measurement <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Contractor shall excavate up pit, as approved by the Engineer. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 8-34.5 Payment <br /> 35 <br /> 36 "Pothole-Vacuum", per EACH. <br /> 37 The unit Contract price per hour shall be full compensation for all costs incurred to perform <br /> 38 the work, as described in Section 8-34. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 COE 8-6E-FILESFa s <br /> 41 8-36 ELECTRONIC FILES <br /> 42 Section 8-36 is new and is supplemented by the following: <br /> 43 <br /> 44 (******) <br /> 45 <br /> 46 When requested by the Contractor, the City will provide an electronic version of the <br /> 47 construction plans (drawings), for use by the Contractor at the Contractor's own risk.
