EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The Service Provider shall provide engineering services to support the City of Everett's assessment of critical sewer <br /> force mains.The project will include their evaluation of the assessment needs of the Southend Interceptor,Mukilteo <br /> Beach Line,and Lift Station 1 force main.Services provided will include an alternatives analysis of the inspection <br /> technologies for each pipeline,support during the contracting process,on-site support of inspection activities,and <br /> review of the results of the inspection process.The work will be on an as-needed basis and review of documents <br /> will be performed as requested by the City of Everett in writing.The schedule for review and deliverables will be <br /> determined as-needed for the individual requests. <br /> Task 1 --Project Coordination <br /> Service Provider shall coordinate the efforts of their project team to provide the City with status updates and <br /> deliverables in a timely manner. <br /> 1.1 Correspondence and coordination with City project manager and staff <br /> 1.2 Service provider staff management and internal project planning <br /> Assumptions:City staff will take the lead of overall project management. <br /> Deliverable:E-mail progress updates and coordination calls with City staff <br /> Task 2—Inspection Strategy Alternatives Analysis <br /> 2.1 Review potential inspection strategies for each force main identified in this scope. <br /> 2.2 Prepare a memo recommending the technology selection.Memo should include a matrix of inspection <br /> technologies paired with each of Everett's pipelines included in this scope,considering their material type, <br /> location,and access capabilities,with content on which are applicable and why. <br /> Deliverable:Memo summarizing technology alternatives and recommended method for each force main <br /> Task 3—Support City's contractor selection process <br /> 3.1 Assist the City project manager with development and/or review of the RFP for the inspection of each <br /> force main identified in this scope. <br /> 3.2 Assist in the review of proposals and the selection of an inspection contractor. <br /> Task 4—Provide on-site construction support of force main assessment <br /> 4.1 For each pipeline,two(2)representatives from the Service Provider shall participate in a one-day site <br /> reconnaissance visit during field deployment of the inspection activities.While in the field,the Service <br /> Provider shall review the general inspection methods being used and provide suggestions to improve <br /> accuracy and/or efficiency. <br /> Deliverable:E-mail or letter summarizing comments <br /> Task 5—Review inspection results and provide comments <br /> 5.1 Service Provider shall review the inspection results prepared by the City's contractor and prepare a memo <br /> with written comments and suggestions for additional clarification/analyses by vendor(applicability of <br /> cited standards,etc.).This review does not include independently analyzing raw data or independently <br /> validating the inspection results. <br /> 5.2 Service Provider shall provide input regarding next steps as a result of the inspections,such as <br /> recommendations for repairs. <br /> Deliverable:Memo summarizing review of inspection results and conference call to discuss next steps. <br /> Task 6—Provide recommendations for future assessments of ductile iron and cast iron force mains <br /> 6.1 Prepare a document recommending technologies for ductile iron and cast iron force mains <br /> Deliverable:Memo summarizing recommended technologies for ductile iron and cast iron force mains <br /> Page 12 <br /> Jacobs 2018 PSA <br />
