F.I.E. Systems
P. O. Box 5668
Everett, WA 98206
City Of Everett
Building and Public Works June 24, 1993
3200 Cedar
Everett, Washington 98201
Attention: Mr. Ken Jackson - Building Inspector
Subject: Engineering Inspection and Approval
Of Everett Steel's Building Addition
Dear Ken:
A walk thru inspection of the new Everett Steel Company's warehouse was done on
June 23, :.993. The finished construction was inspected and a comparison was done
between the finished building and the design drawings and specifications.
The most predominate difference between the original design and the completed
building was the missing (4) northerly bays. I understand the northwall was relocated
to provide building seperation in place of the 4 hour fire wall previously specified.
The resulting building is 90 ft. shorter in overall length then originally designed.
The main building frame including columns and trusses has been constructed per
the original design drawings and specifications, however the diagonal cross bracing
both vertical and horizontal has been modified from the original design and the
South end wall has been framed with two additional columns and a much narrower door
than originally specified.
s
? The modifications to the diagonal bracing is acceptable and the weld areas
provide adequate member strength development to ensure safe transmission of both
k design wind and seismic loading of the building frame system.
All purlins, roofing and siding is new material which makes the building such
more estheticly pleasing than if the old material from the relocated buildings
had been used as proviously planned.
Please consider this letter as the En ineer of Record's "Acceptance! of the
'as built" construction for compliance w th the original es gn drawings and
specifications.
If you have any question please contact me at : 252-5126
339-7309 Mobil
Yours Truly,
Everett
YLL:klI
M!!wor P
5 13
CITY 6FF EVERETT
- Leonard Bermn _131dB• Permit Counter
J± Fvgrar 11-6-"
0t,1"s
