It sa'01
Y• P P P nacocrarrnEni
may be posted or r=_tained in a Fire Department file. It must be
avai.lable for inspection. This permit is valid for as long as you own
and operate as Amber's Restaurant. It may be revoked for cause.
Issuance of this permit assumes that the holder of such permit operates in
compliance with all the applicable requirements of the Uniform Fire Code.
Anong the requiremerts which apply in your case is the provision that all
required exits be maintained at all times that the business is open to the
public. Since both the restaurant and the loungz require two exits, it will
he nece>sary to maintain both exits open at all times that either or both are
open. This means that no obstructions may be placed in the exitways which
would hinder immediate access by the occupants. No doors in the total means
of eyress may be locked. Exit signs and exit pathway lighting must be
maintainej at all :imes the establishment is open for business.
At those times when either the r=staurant or the loune is closed, the closed
area may be signed "EMERGENCY ExIT ONLY" but e:t access must be maintained.
If security is p:oblem, one solution might be to put an alarm on the exit
doors or any other doors in the means nf egress.
We wish you success in your new venture. If we may be of further assistance
or if you have any questions, please call 259-8726.
Sincerely,
Sam Preston
Fire Marshal
SP:lw
Enclosure
B/E1
cc: TIM TYLER, BUILDING OFFICIRL
