There shall be no visible sheen from petroleum products allowed in waters of the state or <br /> stormwater runoff as a result of project activities. <br /> All of the materials used in construction, as well as both mobile and stationary equipment, will be <br /> considered as potential waste generation materials. Potential waste, such as solvents, paints, <br /> batteries, strong acid and alkaline wastes, and paint removers, are all considered dangerous <br /> wastes and must be disposed of in accordance with the standards listed on the individual <br /> containers. <br /> SPILL CONTROL AND COUNTERMEASURES PLAN (SPCC) <br /> (SUGGESTED) <br /> Spillable Materials and Location <br /> Potential spillable substances onsite include gasoline, diesel fuel, and vehicle fluids (lubricating <br /> oil, hydraulic fluid, brake fluid, etc.). No petroleum products will be stored onsite. Any onsite <br /> vehicle and equipment fueling will occur in a single designated location in the construction <br /> staging area; this area will be located away from drainage courses and inside secondary <br /> containment. <br /> Spill Prevention <br /> The following spill prevention procedures will be used: <br /> No vehicle maintenance other than emergency repair and daily maintenance activities will be <br /> performed on the project site. No fresh or used engine fluids will be stored on the project site. <br /> 1. Vehicle and equipment fueling will occur in a single designated location within the <br /> construction staging area; this area will be located away from drainage courses and inside <br /> secondary containment; and <br /> 2. Oil absorbent pads and drip pans will be placed under vehicles being fueled and under <br /> parked vehicles. <br /> Spill Kit <br /> A spill kit consisting of the following materials will be kept onsite. Any spill kit materials used will <br /> be replaced within two days. <br /> • 3 - pairs of rubber gloves <br /> • 3 - protective goggles or glasses(or face shields) <br /> • 1 -set of spill response procedures(below) <br /> • • 12 - oil absorbent pads <br /> • 1 - roll of visqueen <br /> • 2 - rolls of duct tape for temporary patching of lines and tanks, etc. <br /> • 1 - container of repair/auto putty for patching of lines and tanks, etc. <br /> • 5 gallons- loose absorbent material (floor sweep, kitty litter, etc.) <br /> • 2 - permanent markers for labeling contaminated materials <br /> • 24- heavy-duty garbage bags <br /> • 100 feet oil absorbent boom <br /> • 2 - shovels <br /> • 10 copies of Spill Report Form (see below) <br /> Er r SiteReport <br /> Everett Community College <br /> Index Hall Replacement&Surface Parking Lot"M" 8 <br /> 209459.10/209459.11 <br />
