In a <br />good faith approach to comply. Newland Construction has verified the existing post <br />and beam structure is prohibiting a cost-effective solution for the toilet upgrade at <br />its existing location. <br />Any and all improvements to the existing toilet will be provided per the State <br />Amended Codes, Division II, Se�tion 93716: Guidelines for Readily Achievable <br />Barrier Removal. Under Section 93116.4, Remodel of Barriers, architectural <br />barriers could be removed "without much difficulty and expense." These examples <br />are per Section 93116.5: Examples including, but not limited to, installmg <br />accessible door hardware, installing grab bars, insulating lavatory pipes, installing a <br />raised toilet seat, lowering accessory devices such as paper towel dispensers, soap <br />dispensers, and mirrors. <br />In addition, an existing shared toilet room H�ithin the waiting room appears to meet <br />current A.D.A. compliance except for a correct height toilet seat. Any and all <br />improvements to this toilet would be made as called out under Section 93116.5 as <br />noted above. <br />I appreciate your assistance to this matter.
