Two heat detectors at the top of the Elevator Shaft <br /> a. First heat detector is to recall the elevator and open the doors. 135 degrees (fixed rate <br /> of rise) and located within 18" of the motor <br /> b. Second heat detector is to shunt the elevator (power)for protection of fire personnel. <br /> 194 degrees (fixed rate of rise) <br /> ELEVATOR CONTROL ROOM (Elevator Equipment Room) <br /> 1. Two heat detectors in the Elevator Control Room <br /> a. First heat detector is to recall the elevator and open the doors. 135 degrees (fixed rate <br /> of rise) <br /> b. Second heat detector is to shunt the elevator (power)for protection of fire personnel. <br /> 194 degrees (fixed rate of rise) <br /> UTILITY ROOM <br /> 1. Fire Alarm Panel <br /> 2. AES Radio Panel (Radio call out—no phone lines required) <br /> 3. Smoke Detector located above Fire Alarm Panel <br /> 4. Power Requirement for Fire Alarm: Dedicated Fire Alarm Panel Breaker Lock <br /> EXTERIOR <br /> 1. Two external heat detectors located under the awning/sign <br /> a. First heat detector at lower landing/awning(135 degree rate of rise rated for exterior) <br /> b. Second heat detector at upper landing/awning (135 degree rate of rise rated for exterior) <br /> 2. External horn strobe that is waterproof, typically red or white. Mounted on the south wall <br /> above PUD electrical box. Install 8' above finish grade <br /> ELEVATOR PHONE <br /> 1. Elevator will have a push button ADA phone that will initiate an emergency call to the elevator <br /> monitoring company <br /> 2. The Frontier phone line will need to enter the building and terminate in the Utility Room. From <br /> there the phone line will run to the elevator shaft and connect to the elevator phone cable. <br />
